20 Delicious and Decadent Chocolate Cocktails

It's hard to resist the sweet taste of a delicious chocolate cocktail. From boozy milkshakes to sweet martinis, many drink recipes feature chocolate liqueur, chocolate vodka, and other cocoa-laden ingredients. They are tempting, perfect for dessert, and a whole lot of fun.

Fun Fact: There's a classic drink called the "chocolate cocktail" and it contains no chocolate. Instead, it's an equal pour of maraschino, blackberry, and Yellow Chartreuse liqueurs shaken with an egg yolk.

Cold Brew Substitutions

  • Cold brew coffee
This is my preference so if you have the time, make cold brew first, then make this drink. The cold brew does take time (12+ hours) but it&rsquos super easy and delicious. See my cold brew recipe.
  • Strong coffee made in a coffee machine
Use a coffee machine to make strong coffee (2-3 tablespoons of ground coffee to make a cup) and cool it down quickly in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
  • Espresso
If you have an espresso machine (lucky you!) add a shot of espresso. Instead of using a cocktail shaker, you can just stir the chocolate syrup into the hot espresso until the syrup dissolves into the espresso.
  • Instant coffee
Have some instant coffee left over from making Dalgona coffee? Combine 1 teaspoon of instant coffee and 1 tablespoon of hot water then stir in the chocolate syrup until the syrup dissolves.

Chocolate Splash Iced Coffee Recipe

I have always loved the taste and smell of coffee, especially Iced Coffee but over the years I kind of stopped drinking it. I know that sounds crazy to the people who can’t seem to get going in the morning without starting their day with a cup of coffee.

I just really didn’t have the time in the morning to make myself coffee and I am way too cheapto head to a local coffee shop only to pay someone else to do it for me.

Ever since I got the Ninja Coffee Bar® System for the purposes of my honest review, I have been making refreshing Iced Coffees that would rival any coffee shop at far less than half the price. There is no reason to head out for a fancy drink when I can make them at home so easily.

It turns out that making fancy Iced Coffee isn’t exactly the difficult task I had always imaged it was after watching the baristas at my local coffee shop struggle to take care of their customers. The machines always look so intimidating and I have only ever owned the kind that had one basic button, on/off.

When I see the machines available that claim to make all of my favorite coffees at home, they not only fail to do what they claim they can but it is difficult to even figure out how to make the machines brew a simple pot of coffee, let alone a more complex recipe. They have never been as user friendly as the Ninja is and I have already figured out how to do anything I want with this coffee bar.

Seriously, take a close look at all of the easy to use parts on this machine, buttons, dials, swivels, and everything makes sense for once!

The grocery store sells a large selection of coffees to recreate any of your favorite coffee shop flavors and with the Ninja Coffee Bar® System, you now have the tools needed to get the job done right.

It provides an integrated frother, six brew sizes, five brew types, including the Ninja exclusive Café Forte – which amplifies the natural subtle flavors of your favorite coffee, for a sensationally different and delicious coffee experience!

Using the Ninja Coffee Bar® System I created a delicious recipe that can be made in a coupe of minutes. I love how easy it is to move the filter basket, froth, change between brewing types and one of the most important parts of course is cleaning the system when you are done using it.

Yeah, there is a button for that, it seems there is a button for everything on this system. Making specialty coffeehouse style recipes has never been easier or tastier.

With just a few pushes of the button and a few delicious ingredients you can enjoy this Chocolate Splash Iced Coffee Recipe in your home everyday.

Pick up a Ninja Coffee Bar® and enjoy this Chocolate Splash Iced Coffee Recipe anytime in your own home! What is your favorite fancy drink that you would like to be able to make at home?

Espresso Roast

How to Make Mocha Frozen Blended Coffee

STEP ONE

Prepare 1 shot of espresso.

We recommend brewing Starbucks® Espresso Roast via an espresso machine. If you don’t have an espresso machine, you can use a stove-top moka pot to make espresso-like coffee. To learn more, read our stove-top moka pot guide here.

You can also brew Starbucks® Espresso Roast by Nespresso® capsules for authentic café-style espresso.

STEP TWO

Place ice, milk, chocolate sauce and espresso into the blender. Start at low speed, moving higher and blend on high for 30 seconds.

Iced Hot Chocolate Ingredients

This recipe is super easy. It takes less than 5 minutes to make and requires only 4 ingredients, one of which is whipped cream.

It’s also very similar to the Starbucks iced hot chocolate and Dunkin Donuts iced hot chocolate recipes. While this recipe is very simple, I consider it slightly more upscale than either of those due to the cocoa powder and Agave blend.

All of the ingredients included in this iced hot chocolate recipe typically store really well. I’ll buy a set of ingredients once every four months or so and make it whenever the mood strikes me.

Iced Brown Sugar Coffee

A new addition to the starbucks menu and your new favorite to make at home. Try out this Iced Brown sugar for a delicious and refreshing drink.

Directions: Boil water. Once water is boiling, add brown sugar and mix. Quickly set aside to cool. Once a little cooler, add simple syrup to the glass. Then add ice to the glass with milk. Top the drink with coffee. You should be able to see three different layers in the glass!

Is chocolate malt powder vegan?

Not every chocolate malt powder is vegan. Be aware of that if you’re looking for a vegan coffee drink and always check the ingredients.

Although most of the chocolate malt powders I know have milk powder added, there are a few that are free of any animal ingredients and so, suitable for a vegan diet.

I can’t find chocolate malt powder! What can I use instead of it?

You can make your own chocolate malt powder with 3 simple ingredients: coca powder, malt powder and sugar.

The proportions I use are:

  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon of malt powder and
  • 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar.

That makes enough for 1 serving and is a vegan chocolate malt mix option.
